FRANCA SOZZANI VOGUE ITALIA
Franca Sozzani is like the younger, rebellious sister of her counterparts, Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld. She has an artistic eye with a strong sense of style that works well together. Since 1988, Franca has been the editor of Vogue Italia presenting an image that is truly innovative. Being creative and having a definite point of view is important in being an editor but another key component is vision. Franca has proven that she has vision over the years especially with her timely July issue of Vogue Italia,"A Black Issue." That issue garnered so much attention that it brought her to the forefront of her Vogue sisters. Being a creative vision is in the genes, here sister, Carla Sozzani is the owner of 10 Corso Como, a boutique in Milan that mixes fashion with art. Franca is the perfect blend of Anna and Carine and that's reason enough to be a be a fan.
I hope you know your Italian.

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY-VOGUE THE ANSWER...
OK, so many people have been commenting on Keira Knightley's hair on the recent cover of American Vogue. The apparent answer to the hair mishap is everyone's friend and foe, photoshop. Here's an image from the photo shoot with Mario Testino before it landed on the cover and of course before it was photoshopped. Besides it is the actual cover and below is what their inspiration was for the photo shoot. Here's the video of Keira's experience shooting with Mario Testino for American Vogue.
CARINE ROITFELD FRENCH VOGUE
France...Paris...Carine Roitfeld, the exquisite and sensual editor of French Vogue. She has her own style that always makes her stand out. And, she's not afraid to smile. She's worked with a variety of designers as their "muse" including among them, Tom Ford, when he was designing for Gucci. She has a definitive point of view that consistently comes across the pages of French Vogue. Carine Roitfeld has been at the helm for the past seven years and has made it as recognizable as its American counterpart. We are definitely a fan.

WRANGLER WE ARE ANIMALS by RYAN McGINLEY
Mostly on everyone's top list of photogs is Ryan McGinley. GAP loves him so much that he's featured in their new Fall campaign. He recently shot Wrangler's new campaign titled, "We Are Animals." What does one make of that caption? One with nature? Self-preservation? Raw animal human instincts and traits? From the look of the campaign and mini commercial it will illicit a wide variety of feelings. The real question will this make you want to wear a pair of Wranglers. The re-branding of Wranglers has been somewhat successful abroad but here in the states it's still has a certain perception that's been hard to break. Will McGinley's new vision translate Wrangler into the new, "reborn" denim line?
